Terms of Service

1) Introduction & Agreement
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Knlii Order Confirmation application (the “App”) operated by Knlii Apps (“Knlii”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By installing or using the App with your Shopify store, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
The App provides operational and limited promotional messaging features (manual and automated) for order updates, COD verification/OTP, and abandoned checkout reminders.
2) Eligibility & Shopify Integration
You must have an active Shopify store and authority to bind the merchant entity to these Terms. You authorize the App to access Shopify data necessary to provide functionality, subject to your Shopify permissions and the App’s Privacy Policy.
3) Data Access & Collection
To operate the App, we may access and process store information, order information, customer contact data (e.g., phone numbers) and message/automation logs. Data handling is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell data to third parties. Processing is limited to providing and improving the App.
4) WhatsApp Legal & Trademark Disclaimer
The App may allow merchants to communicate with customers using WhatsApp in an unofficial manner. WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. The App is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta.
5) Messaging Responsibility (Manual & Automated)
You are solely responsible for the content, timing, frequency, consent, and legality of all messages sent via the App (manual or automated). You must obtain and maintain valid customer consent where required and comply with applicable laws (including anti-spam, privacy, consumer protection) and any policies of messaging platforms you use.
Limited promotional messaging is permitted, but you must comply with all applicable consent and opt-out obligations. You agree not to use the App for unlawful, misleading, abusive, harassing, or deceptive communications.
6) Platform Blocks, Bans, and Rate Limits
Messaging platforms (including WhatsApp) may block, rate-limit, or restrict numbers/accounts for policy violations, spam, or high complaint rates. Knlii Apps is not responsible for any restriction, suspension, block, ban, or deliverability issue imposed by WhatsApp or any third-party platform. You are responsible for compliant use and for resolving any platform enforcement actions.
7) Merchant Obligations
- Keep your store and contact data accurate and up to date.
- Maintain customer consent and provide clear opt-out mechanisms.
- Use automations responsibly and review default templates before enabling.
- Comply with Shopify’s terms, applicable laws, and messaging-platform policies.
8) Prohibited Use
Using the App for any of the following is strictly prohibited and may result in suspension or termination:
- Spam or unsolicited messaging; purchased/harvested contact lists.
- Fraud, phishing, impersonation, or misleading claims.
- Illegal goods/services, adult content, gambling, or high-risk financial schemes.
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, or other abusive content.
- Attempts to bypass WhatsApp or platform rules, rate limits, or enforcement.
9) Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if we reasonably believe your use violates these Terms, applicable law, Shopify policies, or third-party platform policies, or if your usage creates security, legal, or reputational risk. We may also remove or disable features as required for compliance.
10) Service Changes & Availability
Features may change over time. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service due to dependencies on Shopify and third-party platforms.
11) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knlii Apps and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages; lost profits; loss of data; or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the fees paid to us for the three (3) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
12) Data Retention & Deletion
We retain minimal operational logs and configuration data while your subscription is active. You may request data deletion by contacting us. Deletion requests are subject to legal, security, and backup constraints as described in our Privacy Policy.
13) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, excluding its conflicts of law principles. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. You agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting us before initiating formal proceedings.
Operational location: United Arab Emirates (UAE). This does not limit the above governing law clause.
14) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
